Are Humans the major cause of global warming?

How much do you think you know about global warming? To start, let’s put the question “Are humans the major cause of global warming?” into perspective. Human impact on global climate has come into the discussion as rapidly developing countries become industrialised. The effects that could be far stronger than previously expected. Let’s dive deeper into this.

What exactly is climate change?

Climate change is the long-term change in the Earth’s climate. It is caused by many different factors, including human activities and natural processes. The global average temperature has risen about 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit (0.8 degree Celsius) since 1901, a rate of about 0.13 degrees Fahrenheit (0.07 degree Celsius) per decade. This warming trend has been driven largely by increased carbon dioxide and other human-made emissions into the atmosphere from burning fossil fuels like oil, coal and gas, which release carbon dioxide when burned for energy.

When did climate change start?

When we talk about climate change, we’re usually referring to the human factor: how our actions affect the world’s atmosphere and oceans. This includes everything from driving cars to burning coal to clearing forests for agriculture or development.

The most important thing to remember about climate change is that it’s not a new phenomenon—it’s been happening since before humans existed on this planet. But now that we’ve become more technologically advanced and more globally connected than ever before (and because we’re adding extra greenhouse gases into the atmosphere), it’s happening faster than ever before in history! So, humans are not the reason climate change begun – that much is true. However, we are the reason it is happening so fast.

We have been contributing to the destruction of our planet since the start of the industrial revolution, when we started burning fossil fuels such as coal and oil to power our factories and vehicles. The world has been warming ever since then, and it’s only going to get worse unless we reduce our emissions.

What are humans doing to make climate change worse?

Burning fossil fuels produces carbon dioxide (CO2), which is released into the atmosphere. This carbon dioxide traps heat from escaping into space, causing temperatures on Earth to rise. Deforestation also contributes to climate change because trees absorb CO2 from the air and store it in their trunks, branches, leaves and roots. If we cut down too many trees or burn them for fuel, this stored carbon will be released back into the atmosphere again where it can trap more heat from escaping into space again causing temperatures on Earth to rise even higher than before!

Can we undo the damages?

The evidence is clear that humans are causing climate change—but it’s not too late to fix it. The climate has been changing for hundreds of years, but we now have the technology to make a difference. The only question is how quickly we respond. We are at a critical point in our history where we have to make a choice: do we continue to ignore the problem and let it get worse, or do we take action now?
